The Peterborough and District Branch of the National Health Service Retirement Fellowship enjoyed three days in York a few months ago. Twenty eight people travelled to the Quality Hotel in York (now Hotel 53), where the group stayed for their short break. Says Betty Goss, Outings and Holidays Organiser, “The hotel was lovely and I arranged the trip through coach operator Peterborough Travel, a company I nearly always use. The service is very good and they are only down the road!”

Although the group spent most of the break at their own leisure, Betty did arrange an excursion on the last day to the Eden Camp in Malton. “I had arranged group rates at the attraction, which is a World War Two prisoner of war camp, with huts featuring recreated scenes from the period. It was very interesting. We’re now looking forward to six future outings this year including a visit to the Tutankhamen and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs exhibition at the O2 in London,” she concludes.
