Marie Harris, Secretary for the Rother Homes Garden Club, based in East Sussex, recently took a group of 42 people to Scarborough for a five-day holiday. “I booked the Red Lea Hotel in Scarborough, where we were made most welcome; the hotel, food and hospitality were all excellent. We travelled with Renown Coaches, based in Bexhill – as one of our committee members is a coach driver for the company, he arranged that!”

During the stay, the group spent time in Scarborough and Whitby as well as visiting the city of York and passing through the Yorkshire Moors. “Everyone said they had a memorable holiday,” says Marie. “We are already looking forward to future trips including visits to the Spalding Flower Festival in May and Buckingham Palace in August, a five-day holiday to Blackpool to see the Illuminations and to explore the Lake District in September and another five-day holiday to Llandudno in October. The members thoroughly enjoy our trips and have made great friendships within the group.”
