A four-day break to Prague in the Czech Republic was enjoyed by 50 members of the Portsmouth Area Civil Service Sports and Social Association recently, organised by Secretary Pete Fincham in conjunction with The Group Travel Company, the tour operator based in Blackpool.

“The Group Travel Company dealt with nearly all of the arrangements relating to the holiday; however, I organised coach travel to the airport myself with the very efficient Fareham-based coach operator Lucketts Travel as it’s a nice local operator,” says Pete.

“On arrival in Prague, we were met by a Group Travel Company representative, who escorted us to the Hotel Lunik in the city centre. We all thought this establishment was excellent and in a really great location opposite Wenceslas Square. The staff were also really nice,” he comments. “Nothing was too much for them.”

Throughout the four days, the group enjoyed various pre-arranged excursions included a boat trip on the Vltava River as well as an evening Ghost Tour of the city centre. “We were certainly kept busy throughout the whole break and everyone had a brilliant time,” Pete remarks. “In fact, when I told my members that I had booked a break to Barcelona this September with The Group Travel Company, people couldn’t put their names down fast enough!”
