Social Secretary and Outing Organiser for the RAFA Nuthall Branch Nottingham, Michael Turnock, was recently selected, along with his wife, to take part in a promotional weekend for 48 GTOs and guests, organised by The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Visitor Management and Marketing Team after a mailing to a number of GTO readers.

“We stayed at the Holiday Inn Maidenhead-Windsor, where the food was wonderful,” says Michael.

After arriving on the Friday, the following day involved a trip to Windsor Castle and then Royal Windsor Racecourse and Savill Garden before returning to the hotel. On Sunday, a trip on the Thames with French Brothers was enjoyed along with a tour of Eton College. “We felt that the organsiers did a great job and need a special thank you – the response to attend the weekend was so successful that three were put on in the end,” comments Michael. “I am going to produce a slide show for my group so that we can bring members back in the future.”
