Twenty members of The Happy Group in Somerset jetted off to America to experience a 14-day cruise around New England and Canada towards the end of last year. Bernice Madge, who helps organise for the club with husband Eddy explains. “We travelled with Celebrity Cruises and the ship, the Constellation, was lovely. There were no problems and we got good group discounts.”

The group flew to New York and stayed overnight before beginning their cruise. “During our time on board, we stopped at destinations including Boston, Portland, Halifax and Peggy’s Cove fishing village in Nova Scotia, and Quebec,” says Bernice. “We docked in Quebec for two nights and had plenty of time to explore the beautiful city. We also spent an impromptu night in Portland on board ship, as a hurricane was about to hit!”

She continues, “All our meals were included onboard – dinner consisted of five courses! The group enjoyed it very much indeed.”
