April this year saw Graham Wing, GTO for a group of friends based in Bedworth, Warwickshire, enjoyed a familiarisation trip with around 40 other GTOs based at the Ramada Newton Park Hotel in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

The two-day visit was hosted by Ramada Jarvis Hotels in partnership with West Midlands tour operator Dunwood Travel. Graham comments, “I was invited along by Dunwood and was impressed by the historic stature of the hotel. The staff provided an attentive and efficient service to accompany quality food and great musical entertainment.”

Although the main purpose of the trip was to experience the hotel, the group also visited nearby Chatsworth House. “This was lovely,” says Graham. “In fact, location-wise, the hotel was an ideal base for groups wanting to visit the attraction as well as the Peak District, Burton-upon-Trent and Derby. I always organise tailor-made packages through Dunwood Travel and excursions such as these go down really well and are a key part of the holiday.”

He sums up, “I was most impressed with the trip and will be taking a group of 51 back for a two-day stay at the hotel in November with Dunwood Travel.”
