Happy times in Austria
Even after heart surgery, Eddy Madge, GTO for The Happy Group in Somerset, still made sure he was able to attend the eight-day holiday to Austria he had organised for 42 members of his group this August. “For the first time I used the services of Norwich-based Group UK to arrange this trip and it meant I was able to sit back and enjoy the rest,” says Eddy. “I was pleased with the service and I was even contacted when I got back to check that everything had gone smoothly.”
The group travelled to the continent using Eurotunnel, which Eddy describes as “a good journey”. After an overnight stop in Verdun, France, they travelled on to their main base for the holiday, Steinach in the Tyrol Valley, via the autobahn network. “We were delighted with the hotel here, the Sporthotel Wilder Mann, and all its amenities and we had the added bonus of lovely weather,” comments Eddy.
Excursions included a coach trip through the Brenner Pass into Italy, where a visit to a local market in Vipiteno was enjoyed by all.
Eddy concludes, “Many thanks to Group UK, for the splendid service given. I would recommend the company to other GTOs.”
