Memories of Montenegro
Founder and President of the Pembury Bridge Club in Kent, Geoff Plummer, takes his group away on holiday abroad every year and this year was no exception. “I always use Saga Holidays, in Folkestone, to book this annual holiday, having used them for several of my own personal trips,” says Geoff. “I am very pleased with the service I get, particularly from their groups department.”
This year’s break was to Montenegro, in the Adriatic, with 39 people enjoying the seven-day trip. Says Geoff, “We flew into Dubrovnik in Croatia and then travelled to Montenegro by coach. It was quite a long transfer and, usually, these can be a bit of a chore but Croatia was such a beautiful country that it was almost like another excursion for us!”
The group stayed at the Hotel Iberostar Bellevue in Becici and had two excursions included in the package; one to Budva and one to Sveti Stefan, where the group enjoyed walking tours of the towns and surrounding beaches. Geoff explains, “We had two Saga representatives who accompanied us throughout the holiday and these were very good, particularly Svetlana, who had worked as a guide at one of Montenegro’s museums, and was able to take us through this attraction during one of the many optional excursions the majority of the group also enjoyed.”
Overall, Geoff sums up by commenting, “Everything was excellent including the weather, hotel and food – there was nothing anybody could complain about!”
