Brenda Medcalfe and Pat Miles, Chairman and Outings Secretary of the Bramhall Ladies Guild in Stockport, recently organised its annual four-day holiday, based in Morecambe, Lancashire. “We booked the Headway Hotel, where we stayed last year, and were well looked after by the staff,” explains Brenda. “For coach travel, we used Bostock’s of Congleton, and were lucky enough to have the same driver as last year as well.”

The group of 29 made stops in the Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria but the highlight of the stay was a visit to Leighton Hall, near Carnforth in Lancashire, where it had been arranged that the attraction would open especially. Says Brenda, “We started with coffee and biscuits, followed by a tour of the house with the owner; we were even allowed to sit and touch the furniture!”

A final trip to Oswaldtwistle Mills was included on the way back home where lunch had been pre-booked. “This was a very well organised visit; we were given a meet and greet service and discount voucher booklets for the group.” She continues, “Once again, the holiday was enjoyed by all and we are planning to visit Scarborough next year.”
