Scottish spring break
Thirty-eight people from Aidan’s Classic Tours in Derbyshire recently returned from a five-day break to Scotland. GTO Aidan Brittan reports, “We travelled with DH Cars of Denstone, Staffordshire – a brilliant company. The accommodation was booked through Norwich-based Grand UK Hotels, made easy by the groups department there.”
The base for the stay was the Bridge of Tilt Hotel, a few miles from Pitlochry. Aidan comments, “The staff were great and very helpful. It is one of the few hotels we’ve used with no complaints.”
Amongst the many places visited during the break was a stop at Dewars World Of Whisky in Aberfeldy. “There is a very good visitors centre and interactive museum here. I’d definitely recommend a visit to other groups.”
Members also took a trip on the Strathspey Steam Railway. “I pre-booked a carriage and the staff had the great idea of coming round and taking orders to save members having to visit the buffet car.” He continues, “Another 28 people have booked to come on future holidays as a result of this break so that says it all really!”
