Margate-based Brenda Sotos, GTO for BABS (or Brenda’s Annual Bash!), recently arranged for a group of 49 to enjoy a conducted tour of Somerset House in London. She says, “I started organising about 33 years ago as I don’t drive and still, in fact, get around on a bicycle. My trips were a good way for friends without transport to get out and about. I organise two trips a year, one annual ‘bash’ and one ‘mini bash’.

This year’s ‘mini bash’ was to Somerset House. “Blue Badge guides met us for out tour and we had already split into two groups ‘The Scrumpies’ and ‘Courthauld’s Cuties’, a great help to the guides,” explains Brenda. “The tour was fantastic and Natasha Wallace, the tour organiser at the attraction, was a great help prior to our visit. I’d recommend this tour to anyone looking for a different day out.”
