Viva Las Vegas!
Las Vegas was the exotic location for a recent six-day trip organised by GTO, Sylvia Saxon of Saxon Group Travel based in Poole for 32 people. “I organised the trip with help from The Travel Adventure in Sussex,” says Sylvia. “Right from the off, when we were transported to Gatwick by an executive coach courtesy of Roadliner in Poole (which I arranged), and with stretch limos to meet us at the airport in Las Vegas, we knew it was going to be a special trip,” exclaims Sylvia.
The base for the holiday was the Monte Carlo hotel, which Sylvia says, “is not a themed hotel so never gets crowded but it’s big enough to offer guests everything possible and small enough to have a very intimate feel.” One of the highlights of the trip was going to see a Barbra Streisand concert at the MGM Grand opposite. “Before the show, we shared champagne sent to us from The Travel Adventure and I honestly can’t remember being with a group where we all felt sheer excitement at the prospect of seeing one of the world’s greatest female singers,” enthuses Sylvia.
Whilst there, Sylvia also charted a plane to take the group from Boulder City in Nevada to the west rim of the Grand Canyon, where helicopters were then boarded for a journey to its floor followed by a trip up the Colorado River on a pontoon boat. “It was an exhilarating excursion,” explains Sylvia. “My thanks to The Travel Adventure for making so many dreams come true – here’s to the next one!”
