Advice for theatre bookings

I presume that Mr Colin Wheeler, who wrote the letter titled ‘Penalties on theatre tickets?’ is writing about group bookings rather than just family tickets as he is GTO to The Tuesday Club in Slough?

I have been organising outings for groups, mainly for London musicals, for almost eight years now and, apart from a couple of occasions when I have used Ticket Master and been subject to a small handling charge, I have always used See Groups, based in London, and I have never paid them a penny in charges.

I admit that when I book, I am booking for at least one coach so usually a group of 50 or more, but a group size for See Groups offers usually starts at 10 or 20; obviously the larger the group the better the discount, with the latest offer being ‘Silly Prices for Spamalot’ for groups of 12 or more.

My group love the fact that the price they pay is invariably considerably less than the box office price of a ticket and it also includes the coach driver’s tip.

Not only do See Groups not charge a booking or handling fee, they also give a superb and friendly service.
