Driving round in circles
I operate a small coach firm and following your Coach News report about ‘Better parking in the capital’, I would like to raise a point about Transport for London’s (TfL) coach policy.
There are new bays being installed in central London and extended parking hours planned, but I do not believe this will be enough to make a significant difference. I think it will still remain almost impossible to park for any length of time without driving a long way from the destination and then returning.
The result is a city filled with empty coaches driving around, causing more congestion and pollution – two things TfL wants to reduce.
I have tried to contact TfL about this matter and have received the impression that they don’t care.
