I have been a GTO since 1980 and during this period have taken my group on lots of holidays, mostly UK-based. In fact, many of the ideas for these trips have stemmed from items that have been featured in GTO magazine. A number of my current members have been a part of the club since its very beginnings and every one of them has had a wonderful time on these trips.

Sadly, I am retiring in November 2009. I will be 88 years old this September so I have decided it’s time to put my pens and paper away. It will be a sad time for us all, but age and ailments come to everyone in time. So thank you for your wonderful magazine and I wish you good luck in the years to come. I am sure other readers enjoy getting it as much as I have over the years. Goodbye to you all and keep up the good work!
