Rail travel for groups

I have a query, which I hope other GTOs will be able to assist with. I am a recently appointed Group Organiser and wondered if anybody had any tips about group rail travel to London.

My group is based in Kent and within easy travelling distance from London by rail. We are only looking to catch a matinee of a West End show and are wishing to travel up and back on the same day.

At the train station, I have often seen posters advertising something about group travel, although it seems to only apply for smaller groups.

However, I have also often seen school groups appear to have their own carriage on a train travelling to London and wondered if this is an option for adult leisure groups?

Additionally, if such an offer is available for my group to book a carriage, would it still be allowed if the journey was during rush hour? Any help from other more experienced GTOs would be much appreciated.
