They can only do so much at The National Trust
I was disappointed to read the letter from the organiser complaining about not being given complimentary refreshments for being a GTO.
It is my experience that free places and other benefits are normally offered by many commercial attractions when it is appropriate, but The National Trust is a charity which relies on voluntary workers giving their time for no financial reward.
This being the case, it is not in a position to give away freebies.
